While the word Arts is lost in the boom and glam of Hollywood action hits, it is very much alive in the Music, Movies, and Video Games we use to entertain ourselves.
Arts Equal Human Creativity
Arts equals creative activity. It is not just paintings hanging on a wall. Creativity encompasses so much more than just this one venue. It takes Art to produce our entertainment. Just imagine a life without music, literature, or pictures. I can’t. I love to read. Not to mention, I am a Thomas Kincaid fan and I have several of his prints hanging on walls in my home. Don’t hold it against me, but Cars is my favorite movie. And Toy Story is next and all the sequences of them.
It isn’t necessary for you to appreciate all art. However, I would suggest that you notice things you enjoy as art. Do you have a favorite video game? Someone’s creative mind produced that game, and that makes it art. ARTISTS produce and perform music.
