Healthy Cooking, according to the American Heart Association, preparing your food for eating is as important as choosing the right foods. Some cooking methods are better than others for cutting fat, cholesterol and calories while enhancing the nutritional value of the food.  Changing your cooking habits is probably easier than you think.

Cooking at home is usually healthier than restaurant food. Does not matter if it is a high class restuarant or a fast food joint. At home you can control the fat and sodium, which are the real culprits in any prepared food. The two ingredients add taste to the food but not necessiarly in the amounts given. I use very little salt when I cook as most foods have enough sodium or salt. I have changed my cooking oils to extra virgin olive or coconut oil.
